Polka The Polka has been renamed "Polka Bistro" to reflect the increase in the range of food and vodkas served, with new dishes being added from other European countries and some starters from the orient, far east. Please note the new web address www.polka-bistro.co.uk - July 2004 Guy Ngu - Review dated 14 July 2004 Polka Eva and I recently visited the Polka, now under new management, and are happy to say that the standard of cuisine has improved since Guy took it over. We enjoyed our evening and are happy to recommend it. For a detailed review visit my website: http://www.kenfrost.com and click on the restaurant review on the "related sites" page. Ken Frost - Review dated 28 September 2002 Polka Continental Appealing ambience Great food is politely served vodka owns the night (a haiku by Tomasz) Tomasz - Review dated 14 November 2002 Polka Great atmosphere, relaxed, romantic and good food drinks at reasonable prices. What an extensive range of Vodkas! I have tried about 10 of the 20 vodkas. I'll be back for the rest. Peter N - Review dated 19 July 2002 Polka Top notch food (had never tried Polish before), well priced, attentive (but not overly so) waiter. The honey vodka was lovely. Have already been back twice since I first discovered it two months ago! Paula Devons - Review dated 10 July 2002 Polka The Polka was a great meal, reasonably priced. I defy you to leave there and still feel hungry! My only trouble was resisting the vodka samplers as I was driving. Seanair - Review dated 17 May 2002 Polka Continental Great value for money but exceptionally busy. Felt a bit 'cramped' for my liking, but quality of food and drink couldn't be faulted. If you like vodka, it's the place to go. Daein - Review dated 25 May 2002 Polka Service today uncharacteristally rushed and unrelaxed as the result of a staff shortage. The food, however, was to usual excellent standards. We enjoyed a variety of dumpling and savoury pancake dishes as well as the national dish - the Huntsman Stew. This was washed down with a couple of selections from the extensive vodka list. The Polka is certainly a unique experience and I recommend people to give it a try.
