Cafe Santa Fe
If you want nice food, clean tables, low prices, served politely (there's an unusual word to use in Croydon!)then try here.

Cafe Santa Fe
I agree with the previous writer on this cafe / restaurant. A good modestly priced place to eat with a very pleasant owner who unfailingly always has a smile on his face when serving you.

Cafe Santa Fe
Whenever you see 12 black cabs lined up outside a cafe at night it means it is the best place to eat in for miles around, I saw that outside this place ten years ago and have been eating there ever since. They do a great liver, bacon, chips and beans, so I am happy! Plus they are nice people. - Highly recommended.

Cherries (under new ownership)
After some 40 years in the care of Louisa and family, Cherries has finally changed hands. I am glad to say that the new owners, Maria and John, have kept the place pretty much the same. The menu has a few changes reflecting the change from Italian to Greek ownership and regulars have had to get used to the lack of verbal abuse (albeit friendly) which epitomised the previous chef! A good application of 'if it ain't bust don't fix it'. Recommended.

Cherries Cafe
Best chips in town! Italian run cafe with the usual fry-ups plus good pasta dishes for variety. Cheap, cheerful and good portions.

Daisy's Diner (Addiscombe)
Cheerful nicely furnished traditional cafe. Characatures of the famous line the walls. Service is spot-on, somebody at your elbow for your tea or coffee order as soon as you sit down. No complaints about the food either. Radio in the background a but of an intrusion but worth tolerating.

EatsCafe, 277 Moreland Road
Airy and spacious with chunky wooden tables instead of the usual formica. Good portions of traditional fry-up cheerfully served at a reasonable price. Not the greatest coffee but no complaints about the food.

Saucy Sausage Cafe
A good example of If It Ain't Bust Don't Fix It. Used to be a small cheery traditional caff. Then it closed down for a couple of months and re-opened as a mini replica of those awful modern cafe chains found in big Rail Stations. I walked two yards in until driven back by the piped music. A sad loss.

Two Brothers Cafe
Proper traditional English 'caff' with the benefit of being open seven days a week including bank holidays. Decent portions, well cooked, service with a smile and good value.

Sergio's
Friendly service either inside or Al Fresco in the covered part of St Georges Walk. As well as the usual cafe staples, Sergios offers an amazing combination of sandwiches (over 100) and home-made pizzas. Finish off with excellent coffee (try the Cappuccino). Sergios was established over 25 years ago but is under threat from the St Georges Walk redevelopment. Pay them a visit while they are still there!

Titanic sandwich bar
Incredible, I do live near by this cafe and I am portuguese also, and I never heard about this place untill today, very happy for knowing this place, a pleasant place to have your quick meal or even go for a "petisco" the Portuguese meaning of something like beer and tapas.

Titanic Sandwich Bar
Currently open 7 days a week, 8am-7pm. Newly opened. Nice wooden tables, airy and spotless, cheery welcome. Good range of sandwiches and savouries for take-away or eat-in. Does a nice drop of coffee. A pleasant place to muse over the morning paper.
